Robert, fellow Court of Appeals Candidate Norma Venso and Galveston County Precinct 2 Constable Terry Petteway attended Galveston County's Law Fest honoring law enforcement agencies across Galveston County on Saturday, Aug. 22nd. Later that afternoon, Robert joined future Texas Governor Bill White at Brazoria County's "Donkeyfest" celebration at the Iowa Colony City Hall.
A fifth generation Texan, Robert Ray grew up in the piney woods of East Texas where he learned the values that continue to guide him today. Robert attended South Texas College of Law while working part-time for the law firm of Helm, Pletcher & Hogan and graduated in 1985. Following graduation, he was hired as a briefing attorney for the Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana, where he worked for Justice Charles Bleil (now a United States Magistrate) and Justice Ben Z.
